Whn the Wife and I were staying at a hotel in Cyprus, a Greek wedding was taking place and together with others on holiday, got invited to join in and enjoy the lavish buffet and wine and also watch the entertainment which included the plate throwing.

What an experience!

Ron,quite by accident the other day I came across a very long piece of Jewish history and Wigan was a big Jewish community,all the cinemas and shops in Wigan were at one time owned by them and the majority of them lived in the Wallgate area Great George St and Caroline St...it was very interesting ..they accumulated an awful lot of wealth..mind you they had business brains ..it's well worth a read Ron.

OC,your story reminds me of when we were once on holiday in Crete.We were walking through a small place and in front of a small house there was a big array of beautiful flowers which I was looking at and I presumed it was a wedding but was really shocked to see a coffin leaning against the wall.A few days later we were talking to couple who had seen the same thing and they got invited by the family to the funeral and wake.
